I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming establishment located on the South Downs Way. The staff at Truleigh Hill were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a warm welcome. The self-catering facilities were excellent, allowing me to enjoy a delicious dinner. After a long day of walking, the comfortable bed provided a much-needed rest, and the hot shower was invigorating. The location overlooking the South Downs and Sussex shoreline was breathtaking, offering stunning views. I highly recommend Truleigh Hill and can't wait for my next YHA experience. I had an exceptional stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location with beautiful views and close to the South Downs way. The common room was a nice place to socialize and had reasonably priced food options. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Some areas of the hostel were not as clean as expected, particularly the entrance and stairs to reception. The food options were limited and not the best value for money.

yha truleigh hill was a peaceful haven, surpassing our previous stay in shoreham-by-sea. the friendly staff and superb facilities made our wellness journey delightful. the surrounding walks were exceptional, rain or shine. whether we chose self-catering or the café, everything was perfect. we even had access to a washing machine and drying room at a great price.
Kitchen cleanliness was lacking.

Absolutely loved the stunning views from the top of the hill and the remote location was perfect for a peaceful getaway. the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help when my car wouldn't start, even providing a jump lead. the breakfast was delicious and it was great that they allowed dogs in the dining room so we could all enjoy breakfast together.
Although the communal areas could do with some refurbishment, I overheard a staff member saying they would be renovating over the winter. the toilet and shower facilities for those not staying in the main hostel were a bit tired and not as clean as expected.

The location is great, with green open spaces and a beautiful view of the fields. the rooms are clean and adequate for one or two nights, with comfy beds and a nice dining area and lounge. the staff are friendly and helpful, providing a great pot of tea and cake. the facilities for kids, like board games, are a plus.
Some guests can be noisy and inconsiderate, especially early in the morning.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely remote venue at the top of Sussex Downs. The views were truly spectacular, and the location was perfect, especially if you're planning to walk the South Downs Way. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to assist us when our car wouldn't start. They provided a jump lead and got us back on the road in no time. The facilities were good, and the check-in process was easy. The café area by the check-in was a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and take in the beautiful surroundings. a wonderful experience.
Everything is just what I needed and wanted! 👍
